enclosure prototype

enclosure prototype

The arduino + shield will need to be housed in some sort of enclosure, and then attached to the wearable strap.  I found this incredibly well suited plastic box for $2.99 at the container store.  After thinking about several ways I can design and the manufacture my own enclosure, I have decided for a few reasons, that this is the best way to go.  First of all, I want this project to be open source, and I want people to be able to build their own m//a’s. If I can find a box that is readily available to the public and cheap then I feel like this is a great solution.  I can simply point them to a link, and they can order it along with other necessary parts.  Perhaps as I get further along in the prototyping stage I will want to design my own, however for now I am very satisfied with what this box has to offer.

What I am using is a 6.7 oz. Klip-It Rectangle 200 ml.; 4-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ x 1-1/2″; SKU 10042184 – you can order one online HERE.
